Just a signal passing through

"We wish to be a conduit.
Not a map, not a master,
Just a signal
passing through.
We haven't mastered fear.
Our stomach still holds shame.
Our hearts still scared of being seen.
Will we ever?
But we are shaped by our decisions,
Through the paths taken by our bodies, mind and soul.
We run…
And we be. Imperfectly perfect.
When we look beyond the masks people wear,
And feel the years of held pain beneath,
We want to be a quiet reminder
That speaks to the heart.
In a loud world,
The bartender in a jazz bar.
The music that gently sets the mood.
The beat that reminds our souls
Of their own rhythm.
We are just a conduit.
Like a bird gliding through a valley,
Reminding us of presence.
Or a leaf dancing from a tree,
Reminding us to let go:
To loosen the ego's grip.
We are just a moment of clarity.
We are just mirrors,
Of infinite parts of each other."
